Brush door draught excluders can be fitted on any edge of the door, but are most usually be found on the bottom edge.
There are two general types, the first is as you might expect of a brush draught excluder – made like a brush with bristles. The second is a rubber blade type. Both are effective and both can be adjusted to suit your door.
Not only are these brush draught excluders good at keeping door draughts down, but they also help to prevent driving rain from working into the frame on outside doors.
They can be a great addition to your door draught excluding kit and work really well on the (usually) larger gaps at the bottom of the door.
Remember, you don’t want your house to be unventilated. Plan your ventilation for safety, but have it coming in where it is designed to.
